Currently, new technologies allow oil to be extracted from other types of sediments, so reserves have increased enormously.

The use of fossil fuels must be used rationally, not because it is going to end, but because technological changes and environmental challenges are leading us to develop innovations that allow us to access abundant, clean, reliable, efficient and safe sources of energy.

That is why Peru is promoting the use of renewable energy sources, betting on hydroelectric, solar, geothermal, wind and biomass energy.
