Conchán Refinery

In 1961, the new Conchán refinery came into operation with an initial capacity of 6,700 barrels per day, which would later become the small giant of PETROPERU, thus filling, at the right time, the country’s refining capacity deficit.

Operational unit of PETROPERÚ S.A., strategically located near the capital, in the former Panamericana Sur km. 26.5, district of Lurín, province of Lima.

Designed by the Fluor Corporation of Canada, the Conchán Refinery was built on 50 hectares of land located at kilometer 26.5 of the Panamericana Sur highway, in the district of Lurín, department of Lima. It was inaugurated by Conchán Chevron de California in 1961, and in 1973 PETROPERÚ S.A. took over its administration.

Its main function is to refine, store and market products such as gasoline, diesel, Diesel 2 and Diesel B5 for engines, also producing solvents, industrial oils and asphalt, and contributing to the supply of quality fuel nationwide.

The Conchán Refinery plays a strategic role in the corporate management of PETROPERÚ S.A. Its modern Sales Plant has loading systems for tankers and provides facilities to dispatch fuels, solvents and asphalt. In addition, it processes various types of oil and products such as asphalts, of recognized quality nationally and internationally. Added to this is the advanced technology of its laboratory, which certifies the high quality of its products.

The entire production chain of the Conchán Refinery follows strict safety standards, taking care of the environment and good corporate management.
