The formation of oil is linked to geological and natural processes of the earth; the latest theories about its origin involve physical-chemical processes associated with the decomposition of the remains of animal plants and microorganisms deposited on the bottom of seas, lagoons and in some cases of the earth’s surface 480 to 350 million years ago.
