Knowing is Loving: Women’s Participation in Science

Information on the conferences

In July 2021, the second cycle of virtual conferences entitled “Participation of women in science” by the outstanding researcher Mariángel Paolini Padrón began. Women have contributed significantly to science since its inception. With darker periods than others, it is possible to talk about science and technological advances through the works of those pioneers who risked breaking the paradigms of their time and building a legacy for future generations.
The lectures were held in the month of July at 11 a.m. and distributed as follows:

  • July 9: Let’s talk about immunity and vaccines through Katalin Karikó “The mother of the COVID vaccine.
  • July 16: What does science do about climate change? Stories of scientists breaking paradigms.
